Abstract

The prevention of early marriage and the promotion of adolescent reproductive health are crucial strategies to enhance family welfare. This study was conducted in Embacang Kelekar Village, Kelekar District, Muara Enim Regency, using a participatory approach through counseling, group discussions, and educational simulations. The findings reveal that participants both adolescents and parents experienced significant improvements in knowledge regarding the risks of early marriage, including health complications, educational disruption, and economic vulnerability. Moreover, the program strengthened awareness of the importance of delaying marriage until biological, psychological, and social readiness is achieved, as well as planning for sustainable family life. Support from local authorities and institutions further indicates that community-based preventive and educational interventions can effectively build collective awareness and resilience, thereby contributing to long-term family welfare.
