MODEL ECO- GREEN HOUSEKEEPING UNTUK PENGURANGAN AMENITIES PLASTIK SEKALI PAKAI STUDI KASUS : ARTOTEL GELORA SENAYAN

Abstract

The hotel industry in Jakarta plays a significant role in the regional economy; however, it also contributes to environmental problems, particularly related to the use of single-use plastic. This study aims to analyze the contribution of single-use plastic in hotel operations, the implementation of the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) in the Housekeeping Department, and the role of housekeeping in supporting the green hotel concept at ARTOTEL Gelora Senayan Jakarta. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method combined with the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model. Data were collected through observation, interviews, group discussions, and document analysis, and were analyzed using descriptive qualitative techniques. The results indicate that the implementation of Eco-Green Housekeeping, including refillable amenities, the use of glass water bottles, demand-based linen management, and waste segregation, effectively reduces single-use plastic and improves operational efficiency. This model is considered effective in supporting sustainable hotel practices and has the potential to be adopted by other hotels.
