The Role Of Mobile-Based Teleradiology In Supporting Radiology Services In Type C Hospitals

This study discusses the role of mobile-based teleradiology in supporting radiology services in type C hospitals in Medan City. The background of this study is based on the limited number of radiologists in type C hospitals which has an impact on the delay in diagnosis and treatment of patients. Using a case study approach in several hospitals, such as Sari Mutiara Hospital, Madani Hospital, and Mitra Medika Hospital, this study analyzes the effectiveness, benefits, and challenges of mobile-based teleradiology implementation. The results of the study show that this technology is able to speed up the diagnosis process, improve service efficiency, and provide higher satisfaction for medical personnel and patients. Mobile-based teleradiology also facilitates cross-hospital collaboration, reducing reliance on on-site radiologists. However, the challenges faced include the need for stable network infrastructure, patient data protection, and improving the competence of medical personnel. This study emphasizes that mobile-based teleradiology is a potential innovation to strengthen the radiology service system in type C hospitals and support efforts to distribute health services equally in Medan City.
