Abstract

This study conducted a bibliometric analysis of research on English language education indexed in Scopus Q1 journals using VOSviewer from January 2024 - March 2025. The analysis aimed to identify trends in research methodologies and topics in English language teaching, focusing on key skills such as listening, speaking, reading and writing. The study used quantitative methods, collecting data from Scopus and analyzing co-occurrence relationships between terms. The findings show two main topic clusters: one concentrated on “students” and their relationship with current teaching techniques such as e-learning, especially with the technological advancement of artificial intelligence and the other on language in education. The findings help to understand the history of English language education research and provide a basis for future research in this area.
